Yes, I braved it....FINgErPainTInG! I decided instead of trying to get them to carve a pumpkin or be around me with a sharp object was not a great idea. It was messy and required immediate baths but we had an amazing time. Plus it was PUUUUURFECT day for being outside so I wanted to take full advantage of it.

We finally got to see the famous pumpkin patch
We've tried for three yrs now to make it out to this famous holiday favorite. Now I know we will never miss it and we will never wait until the day after Halloween. We had an amazing time but I now know where to get all my fall decorations. They had haybales, cornstocks and pumpkins (of course) but they had they big extravagant ones too that are totally out of the ordinary.
Cayman and Nate were in heaven. They loved the animals and couldn't get enough of feeding them all.
Unfortunately daddy didn't get to partake because he is at Lake of the Ozarks with my grandpa helping him close the lakehouse up for the winter (winterizing boats and vehicles, closing the house up, etc). He's a really great guy with such a giving helpful heart. He really amazes me how he takes care of people, especially when it's my grandparents!

Fall Festival
Our festivities started with dinner at The Gin with the Lewis' and the Gross'....always a crowd favorite! After stuffing our faces we loaded up and drove over to Rucker Park for Prospers Annual Fall Festival. Both the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Cayman went crazy over the oversized stuffed (human) animals which is truly amazing since she seems to be so leery of stangers or even close acquiantances. As daddy said "at least we won't have to worry if a stranger tries to come get her but look out if Sparky the firedog tries to lure her!"
If you can't tell by the pictures, Cayman was a pirate and Nate was a horse. At this age, I can't see the need in extravagant costumes as much as my heart tells me I want to.
