Nate's 1st Birthday... AND the unfortunate Cowboys game

Nate already turned 1...ahhhhhhh....how did a whole year fly by SO FAST? I can't believe he is really one years old. He is getting so big. He's taking really sturdy steps so I would guess he's days or maybe a few weeks away from walking. He's slowly starting to add words into his vocabulary and has more personality than 10 kids put together. His facial expressions just kill me. As you all know, I am a big theme party person and it delights me to no end to see their expressions when they see all the decorations. I never knew even one year olds could get so excited. Nate had a great time eating his extravagant birthday cake (yes, the second one I made), opening presents and playing with all his family & friends. He didn't watch much of the Cowboys game (which didn't deserve any recognition anyways) but he did enjoy his football field and goal post we got for him and all the other fun toys everyone got him. He got two tractors, one of which drives on it's own....he thinks it's hysterical. I have to say though, his absolute favorite part of the party was taking down the decorations. I had these silver shimmer stars hanging from the ceiling that B held him up to to tear down and he lost it. Everytime he would successfully pull one down he was swirl into a stream of laughter. The great belly laugh that only babies possess! Greatness!!!!

Our day at the Fair

Last Thursday we decided to keep the kids home from school and treat them to a day at the Texas State Fair. They had an absolute blast and our Dr. Seuss shirts were an overwhelming hit. I never dreamed we'd get so much attention. Super cute and so much fun. Cayman asks everyday now if we can all wear our red shirts.
