Our day at the Fair

Last Thursday we decided to keep the kids home from school and treat them to a day at the Texas State Fair. They had an absolute blast and our Dr. Seuss shirts were an overwhelming hit. I never dreamed we'd get so much attention. Super cute and so much fun. Cayman asks everyday now if we can all wear our red shirts.

Nate's Practice Cake

Cake making is my official new hobby. I spent every waking second I had today (which was close to 5 hrs) creating my first "masterpiece". It turned out pretty good but it still needs a lot of work. This was my practice round for Nate's first birthday. I am going to start making homemade cakes for all of our kids birthdays every year. You'll see below in an earlier post Cayman's 2nd birthday cake.

I also plan on making a cupcake size cake on each of their actual birthdays and taking it to them in bed when I wake them up. I will put one little candle on it and sing happy birthday after I sneak into the room. I plan to just spend 10 or 15 min with them privately and just let them to know how special they are to me. I'm trying to decide what a good age for this would be. I'm thinking 3 or 4. I can't wait...I think it will be such a precious memory for me and for them. And for those of you who think cake is a bad idea for breakfast I plan on making a banana bread cake...something you all ready eat for bfast anyways, but definately some yummy icing all over it.

Nate's Football pictures

Nate's first birthday is coming up in just a few short days, which is a very sad but happy thought, and him and I had our own little football game in our living room the other day because I needed some pics to post on his evite. He had so much fun playing football with mommy and not that I am partial or anything but he is a phenominal quarterback!

Love you all!

Camping over Labor Day Weekend

Well if any of you know us very well you know that we do a lot of vacationing. As I briefly spoke of our RV a few posts ago our new hobby has kicked into full gear. All of Corey's side of the family (that lives locally) and the Chamblee's packed up and "camped" at Eisenhower State Park on Lake Texoma. Below is the entire group.

Miss Payton Chamblee...isn't she gorgeous!

Look at that beautiful blonde hair! I don't think I'll ever get used to how breathtakingly beautiful she is.

On Saturday we all packed up and took the speed machine pontoon over to a wonderful beach. We built sandcastles and played in the water. Nate missed out though bc he was napping back at the bus with MiMi.
This is my beautiful baby sister, bREA. Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!

Chamblee Fam (I took the pic from wrong angle though and it's too dark)

Cayman even got to learn to play horse shoes....she could really use some work on her throw! Well....so could I for that matter!!!!!!

Bring out the Margaritas....Lane was so desperate for one he used a measuring cup! You crack me up Lance....I mean Lane!

At this point we started playing this animal game that I thought would be totally stupid but it turned out to be one of the funniest games I've ever played. My sister even busted blood vessels in her legs from the intensity. Holy cow that's funny!

Lane are you attempting to be a bear or a chipmunk???

Oh Brea...I don't even have words for this!

This is where we were saying our goodbyes and packin up everything. She wasn't ready to come home bc she just loves camping.

Visiting Gramma Joyce

The weekend before last we got to go to Lubbock to visit Gramma Joyce. She's not doing the greatest so she could use lots of prayer. We love you Gramma if you get to see these pics.
